The chat services offered through this site are independently operated by Strongate LLC and/or its authorised agents. We respect each individual's right to personal privacy. We will collect and use information through our services only in the ways disclosed in this statement. This statement applies solely to information collected from our chat properties.
We collect personally identifiable and non personally identifiable information at several points. To avail of our chat services, your name, age, gender and location is requested to ensure compliance with the United States Child Online Protection Act. Other information we request is optional.
If a user has opted into creating a chat profile, we collect all additional information furnished by the user as well as usage statistics tied to the user. This may include information such as search queries and messages sent and received by specific users. We do not routinely store the content related to these transactions unless an error occurred and is logged to the activity. Unless explicitly mentioned otherwise, the content that you choose to profile on your profile is visible to all other users, whether or not they are logged into the profile system.
We also collect statistical data that is not considered to be personally identifiable: your IP address and web browser vendor and version. Our advertiser collects demographic data in order to actively target advertisements. If you choose to contact us, we may collect your email address, email application vendor, and ISP information. While the statistical data mentioned above is collected involuntarily, the personally identifiable information required to join the chat is collected voluntarily.
We never market to children, and never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information. Prior to availing of the services offered through our properties, we may implement age restrictions that would require you to divulge your actual age. In most cases, you will be required to be at least 16 years of age to access products or services.
We do not employ cookies, but our advertiser, Google, may choose to. A cookie is a small text file that our Web server places on a user's computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. If you have not created a chat profile, the information provided voluntarily is not logged. Users who create a chat profile and provide the mandatory information will have their information logged and made publicly available on our chat properties. It is not required to utilize the chat profile system in order to connect to the chat. Users who wish to not divulge personally identifiable information may connect manually to the chat server.
Registered users utilizing the NickServ service will receive a reserved nickname. If you try to use a reserved nickname, you may be asked to change yours. If you do not change your nickname, the activity may be logged on our servers and you may be immediately disconnected from the chat.
We do not share our data with any other companies, but please be advised that some information, as mentioned above, becomes public knowledge once you connect. When you are on a privately branded website offering our chat services, the privacy policies will be those of Strongate LLC and not the respective brand.
If our policy on information collection or use changes, we will advise you by sending you a message on our chat server. In order to receive this notification, you must be actively connected to our chat services.
